Just got a '91 prelude (imported to uk from japan) it has a TV built into
the dash, the unit says that its built by onsoku I. Does anyone have a
    handbook, or wiring instructions?

    Cheers

if you are in the US then you better forget about a tv in the front seat
of a car.. by state law in all states it is illegal to have a tv in a
car that can be seen by the driver... i wonder why that is::: so the
driver will keep his eyes on the road and not get into a wreck.........
    Yes, that's the reason....

  3. Read the message. "Imported to UK" not US.

But it's still ok to talk on the phone, have lunch, read a book, etc
while driving - even at the same time!!!!!

The TV might distract him while he's talking on his cell phone.

The navigation system has voice response and commands to allow the
driver to keep his eyes on the road. Plus I bet I can operate the
climate control and the sound system with less destraction with my Navi
    than you can without.

If the airbag deploys, it will make the laptop a permanent part of your
    face. Ouch!

Nav systems don't have laugh tracks, just for openers.

  11. I don't think this law is being enforced because I have seen quite a few
    cars with dashboard TV's.

Remember that short-lived Buick two-seater from the 1980s called, I think, the
Reatta. It had all of its climate and audio controls in t CRT scrren in the
middle of the dash. C/D quipped that "it made you choose between changing the
station or staying on the road".

The law is that you can't have it on while driving, and the installers
MUST install it in such a way that it will turn off if the vehicle is
not in "Park". However, they'll still sell it to you uninstalled, so I
don't see how that changes anything, and I've heard of Odessy owners
hacking their Nav system to play "Toy Story" for the kids while
    driving. Oh well....
