  8. Dunno about Porsche and BMW but MB has *not* been building anything of the
    sort. People who buy those things thinking it's a Mercedes are getting
    duped. Can you say "outsourcing"?

    MB has been building trucks for years. ever watch on tv the last
    few years in afghanistan?? most of the transports are MB ... they
    just don't send them to the states.
    honda doesn't need to catch up they just want some of the m,arket
    share. They have such a strong foothold right now. the pickup is
    based on the pilot, but will share no similar body parts. they have a
    good idea, time will tell though.

    Not many, but they're around. IIRC, MB announced the ultimate SUV a year
    or so ago; but this was going to be a real truck for farm/ranch use with
    a diesel engine and no highway certification.
