everything like that but its hard to shift it like i have to slam it
into gear. i just took the tranny out of the same car year and
everything same engine and tranny. it worked before i took it out of
the other car and everthing it wasnt hard to shift. i put the tranny in

If the 1990 uses a hydraulic clutch, refill and bleed the brake fluid
that's in it. You may have introduced AIR into the system. Other problem
might be you bent the clutch disk?

I am taking a manual tranny course right now and can offer
some of the book and ASE test answers, backed up by what I
    saw in lab.

You can try checking the linkage bushings and pivot points
shown at the link below, and performing the gearshift cable
adjustments shown. Replace the bushings as needed, or apply
    light oil.

What transmission fluid are you using? The Honda OEM MTF is
    said to give smoother shifting.

The clutch not disengaging can cause hard shifting as well,
but I see you say you think the clutch is fine.

Lastly, the engine mounts, if worn, can change the effective
length of the clutch or gearshift cables and so cause
    problems.

Other causes are internal to the tranny, but since this
tranny worked fine on another car, it makes sense to look at
what's changed externally to this tranny, as I'm sure you
    know.

Just curious: What was wrong with the old tranny?
