Looks like Honda may agree to out-of-court settlement that heavily
favors... you guessed it ... Honda. On one hand Honda will extend the
warranty, but Honda still decides if you need a replacement, so guess
    what Honda's going to do?

Well this really comes down to dealer service deciding!
I didn't even need to ask on my 2000 TL. They just said they were going to
replace it when I complained of roughness.

  3. When I received the notice about the transmission settlement, the
notice explained that the warranty is extended 9000 miles to 109,000.
As far as I have warranty documents for my 2000 Accord, the powertrain
    warranty is 36 mo / 36,000 mi.

Is the settlement 109,000 total, or is it +9,000?

Did anyone get a different warranty period on 2000 Accord?

The warranty on the transmission was extended to 100,000 miles in a previous
recall. If you owned the car at the time, you should have gotten a letter
    from Honda.
