I have a 96 Integra and want 13" Honda wheels to replace the alloys
that came from the factory. I have a long drive every day and need to
have a softer ride (my back is getting beaten up).

Will the stock 13" x 5" from a Civic fit? What size tire is right?

    Thanks,

    jim

why would you put 13s on it? isn't it factory 14"?

P185/65R14 on my 98 civic, in 96 they were P175/70R13. The 14s will
provide a much nicer ride, and you won't have to run at 3800rpms to got
    65MPH. :)

his point is a tire with a taller side wall will provide a softer ride. i
have an old accord with 185/7013 tires and it rides softer than the same car
with the factory 14" rims... my advice to you is go to a used tire shop or a
new tire shop and ask the sales man to show you the 14 and 13Inch tire of
the same size side by side so you can see how big you can go...

Yea, that's what I am going to do. There is a place close by that
might have some wheels and tires. I was going to just buy them over
the Internet, but now I think I will try them on for a fit...something
    like a 175 or a 185.

I have a nice set of 16s with really sticky Yokahamas, which have a
harsher ride than the 15s. I can't believe I am considering 13s after
all the money I have spent on nice, big wheels.

    Getting old sucks ;-)

    Thanks,

You need to make sure that the 13 inch wheel will clear the brakes.

Crap...I didn't think of that. I will have to try them before I buy
them. A shop down the street has some I am going to look at soon.

Thanks for the reminder, the one I didn't think of.

Hey, that is a really good app. I bet it will work on my Miata, also.

    Thanks,
