Bought one after years of reading good reports in Consumers.
Own two Windstars now....test drove Dodge.

Cant say I didnt do my homework but after a few weeks of driving there a
couple.....dozen...... things I like and dont like. Consumers was paid off.

    Like:
    Exremely quite engine and ride.
    Solid feel, handles very well.
    rear seat recessed into floor.
Price seemed to be about same as Dodge Grand equivalent.

    Dont Like.....
A/C is wimpy.....long time for air to get cold and cool down cab...if it
    ever does..
Not many inside amenities.....passenger controlled air etc.
Doors dont lock automatically when start driving.
Seats not great....need more support on sides of legs..too too flat seat.
Center fold down table...would like console.Parking Brake doesnt retract
    automatically when put in drive.
Side doors dont open if transmission no in park.
Awkward overdrive select...you have to detent the shift lever and move
down..often missing the overdrive.....Other mfrs have a simple button to
push on end of shift lever.
    - Uncomfortable arm rests on driver door and door top near
window........hard plastic........Other mfrs have softer cloth or soft
    plastic covered foam.
No leather on steering wheel, very slippery.
Turn ratio to large of steering wheel ....To much steering wheel turn for
    radius
Cup holders in dash are not adjustable for large cups.
    No data display:
    No outside air temp measurement,
    No mileage,
    No compass,
Climate controls are bizzare.....only japs would come up with such weird
    controller.
what is full auto vs auto on climate control?
    - small gas tank.......(Windstar has 25 gal)
    - - 500lbs heavier.....you can feel it when you drive vs other mfrs.
    - Awkward radio controls....have to reach across to push scan.
    - No scan control in radio controls on steering wheel......only channel
    select.
    - Gas cap, when unscrewed, is not attached to vehicle.
-Rear captains when folded down do not serve as table for rear bench seat.
    - Shift lever hids console controls on right side especially when not in
    overdrive (lower).
    - turn signal click is not loud enough to hear.

  3. Chrysler salesmen obviously have a lot of time on their hands.

My particular favorite was the "wimpy A/C". You could hang meat in an
Odyssey with the AC going at full blast.

  4. Repeat of the example of your stupidity:
You list as a complaint that the doors do not lock automatically when you
start driving, and then a couple of lines further down complain that the
doors can not be opened when the vehicile is not in park. In other words,
you want a vehicle that you can still open doors when the doors are locked.
You should have bought a Yugo, not a Honda.

    Three possibilities:
    1. You are a moron.
    2. You are a troll.
    3. You are both.

I lean toward the latter of the three. Regardless, do us all a favor and
save your copying and pasting of the same email over and over agian.

You think maybe in 2005 when the new model comes out they will fix all of
    these problems?

  6. Do you mean, will they make the doors automatically lock when you put it
in drive and then allow the passengers to open these locked doors while
it's in drive? Like apparently you want?

Let's say they do "fix" them. Please start working on your next list...

Give him a break, he's French!

PS. ">> - turn signal click is not loud enough to hear." what a lame excuse
