    first?

If you know what not to do, then you have creative ways to finish the job any
way you like. Here's a list:

Don't breath brake dusts. Do not mix fluids. Do not reuse fluids. Do not
contaminate fluids. Do not allow fluids to overflow. Do not allow air to
enter braking tubing circuits. Do not work on the brakes on the emergency
jack. Do not allow dirt particles on brake parts upon installing. Don't
forget to grease bolts where required. Do not hang the caliper body using its
rubber brake hose. Do not damage or rip the fragile piston boot. Don't forget
to use an antisqueak compound, waiting a couple of dry minute before applying
    brake pressure.

Don't apply the compounds to the pads, instead apply it
between the shim and pad. Try not to buy metallic or semi-metallic pads if
you have squeak problems. Don't forget to note the break-in procedure for new
pads and rotors. Don't forget to bleed the brake circuit if overdue or
suspect air/dirt in system. Upon installation, don't forget to correctly
torque all the bolts. Don't forget to check and double check. I may have left
    something out or included errors..

**Remember you need not follow the rules because learning requires mistakes.
The rules are meant for you to ask more questions.

Go to your public library and get a 1993 Honda Accord manual that has
step-by-step instructions for replacing the front brake pads. If it does not
have one, buy one for under $20 at most auto supply stores. Or try
    http://www.honda.co.uk/owner/AccordManual/index.html, but the instructions may
not be a dead-on match to your car's needs.

Buy jack stands for $9 to $20 at Walmart or Autozone to do this job. Do NOT use
bricks, a car jack, etc. to support the car while you work on the brakes.

Based on a lot of reading here, I think one gets what one pays for with brake
pads. I go for the more expensive ones for my 1991 Civic.

Ask your old man to finance your education with a $70 copy of the Helms shop
    manual for your Accord.

In any case, you will need a 17mm socket to undo the caliper slider bolts.
Might need a breaker bar if it hasn't been serviced in a while.
    Slide the caliper out.
Remove one of the worn pads
Put the caliper back on, use a screw driver as a pry bar (yes I know...) to
compress the brake cylinder back into the caliper body.
Slide the caliper out again, remove the worn pad.
Install new pads. Remember to re-use the pad shims as you found them on the
old pads. Put a layer of brake grease between the shim and the pad.
Regrease the caliper slide if the action is not buttery smooth.
Reinstall caliper. Tighten the caliper bolts to whatever pound feet is
specified. I think it might have been 40 to 45 lb-ft but don't quote me on
    that.

    Good luck.
