    Folks,
My mirror was smashed by someone so I bought myself a used dirver's
side mirror for my 1992 HOND ACCORD. I have a couple of questions
    regarding installation

    1) I see that there is a black traingular plastic molding inside. How
do I remove this piece? Do I just pry it open?

    2) The new mirror housing is a different color so I want to use the
old housing with the new mirror only. Is it possible to do this? I was
unable to pull the mirror apart from the housing. Does anyone know how
    to do this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The triangular piece is held in place with a tab on the triangular
piece that slides into a spring clip on the door.
I know because I broke the tab off.
Pry the top of the triangular piece towards the steering wheel

You sent me an e-mail direct and I deleted it with my spam
    messages....sorry... please resend.
I was not replacing the mirror on the Honda, but, I assume you will
have to remove the door's inside paneling to access the plug where the
mirror's wiring plugs in. Once the paneling is off, the triangular
piece will be easy to remove.
Once you have your hands in the door, grease the window mechanism.
