I recently bought a 1990 Honda civic. its idle is too high (around 1000 to
2000) because of which it keeps rolling on red lights. Any thoughts on how
    to reduce the high idle?

  2. I had a similar problem with my old Legend. The service people forgot
to reser the ECU. The engine would cycle from 1,000rpm to 500... it
was as if I was revving the engine while I was stopped. They reset it
for for a 13 year old car with 290k miles on it it idles at < 500rpm.
Actually I think my CL idles higher than that Legend.
