Has anyone Installed a remote car started on a 2000 honda accord LX.
Someone told me that the key has a chip in it. and the only way for the car
started to work is to get a "little box" that you can put your spare key in
where a current can go through and the car start.

does anyone have any experience doing this or know anything about it?

does anynoe know if the Key even has a chip in it?

Any Information would be greatly appreicated.

    thanks
    Tom

You need buy the adapter that connects to the remote start device
to hold a third coded key, when the car is so equipped. If you
simply place a coded key as you suggest any proper cut can be
used to start your car, negating the code protection.
