I'm thinking about getting satelite radio for my Si. Does anyone have
experience installing the car kits for a Sirus portable unit?
I've been looking around for some instructions but haven't found much.

    Thanks

Does your stereo say XM READY on the faceplate, or does it have the 6
disc changer built in? You may have a place for an input available on
    the backside, you may not.

Some people say the FM transmitter things work fine. I didn't like mine.

My 2003 Civic has an empty connector for a CD changer. PIE makes an
adapter that plugs in there, and accepts RCA inputs that appear as audio
from an external CD, always on CD-1, track 1.

It was an easy job. I didn't even pull the radio out. I reached up behind
the radio, in the dash, and plugged the connector in.

  4. I've been thinking of getting one of those for my 2004 Civic. How much of
the dash and/or center console did you have to remove to get behind the
    radio.

I had to slide the console back a little to be able to pull the panel with
the 12v outlet and a couple of switches out.

Here's a thread that started as radio R&R, but I didn't want to take the
radio out. The connector is a pretty big 14 pin connector, so it's easy
to plug it in blindly. http://tinyurl.com/27obbj
