Could someone please tell me what the 'politically correct' terminology is
for the plastic interior trim pieces located at the door sill areas of
cars/SUVs/trucks? I am referring to the plastic trim pieces that are
positioned over the outermost edges of the carpet--and are completely
exposed whenever the vehicle's door is opened. You know, the interior trim
pieces that have a tendency to get scuffed up worse than most other interior
pieces from getting in and out of the vehicle. :)

Thanks in advance for clarifying this for me!

    Door Sills ? Scuff Plates?
Why must it be politically correct it's only a piece of metal?

Wow. It appears as though you took the 'politcally correct' comment
seriously. Just a figure of speech there Mike. I've heard some of them
referred to as plastic/metal door sills.
    I was just curious.

They are door sills, sweet and simple.
