is Dextron III safe for '88 Accord?

  1. In the Chilton manual, it says Dextron II is required. But I couldn't find any
at Kragen, so I purchased Dextron III ATF. Is this safe? The label says it's
for Fords, Chevys, Toyotas and others, but doesn't mention Honda.

yeah.. IIRC, last time i bought a quart, it was only $3-4 .. and after
spending $1200 to have the a/t rebuilt.. i take no chances.
