    Put bigger air filter.
Make input and output engine bigger.
    Replace ECU chip.
    Put bigger muffler.
I don't know all info about modified Honda.
These are some modifications to Honda.
My question is: Is modified HOnda not hurting the engine?
I mean when the engine responses to the more power and efficency,
the engine requires more power. As the engine response to more power,
it might shorten the engine life?
What do you think of all those modified honda driver in street?
Are they just making noise from muffler?

Those things you listed make little improvements, maybe 5-10 % of engine
capacity. There is little concern of engine damage.

The ones that worry about engine damages are the ones that run nitro,
    turbo, supercharger, or raised redline.

I would be a little elary of moding the CPU/ECU/ECM.
It is easy to make changes that can cause problems.
It is almost impossible to hurt a (from 1990 and later)
Honda by overrev. The RPM limiter will save the engine.
This doesn't help you if you blow a downshift and go from
4rth to 1st. A common ECM mod is to change the
    RPM limit.
I think that most people driving tricked out Hondas, Toyotas,
Neons etc are Rice Boys (AKA idiots).
If you really want to trick, for instance, a Civic out, drop an
Integra engine in . Or replace my Dual Point with Mulitport
EFI. Or spend the money and buy a real high end car to begin
    with.
And to be fair on of the silliest Hondas I have seen was a Pink
1990(or 191) Civic. DP EFI, but the owner/driver, a she, had
spent about 15K on silly cosmetic upgrades. Super wide, low
profile tires, A BIG exhasust tip, pretty pink wipers(with BLUE
LEDs!). A kick ass, fuzzbox stereo I wish to God I had my camera
I would hav taken a pix, it was olympic class ugly. The fashion police
    should have shot her!
And she was pissed when I pulled away from her for 5 lights in a row.
Yea it ws a waste of gas. But it was a lot of fun. At the 6th light
she killed it. My wife was laughing so hard I thought I was going to
have to divert to an ER.
Hondas are great little cars. Not the fastest, but fast enough.

I've got 6yrs and 215,000km on my stock (engine) 98 Civic Hatch. It's been
couple years since I've been outperformed by the same generation of Civic
( Recently, I had a run-in with a 2003 SiR that pulled ahead of me by about
5 car length, while going from 0 to 160km/hr...but that wasn't same
generation of Civic). However, a few years ago, it was not uncommon for me
to run into a tricked out version of my model and get wasted. Where did they
    all go?

trashed. junked. beat to death. stolen, joyridden, stripped and burned.
i keep my 98 CX bone stock, with the exception of tint. no bling bling
wheels, painted trim, stickers, etc. low profile, baby. a supercharger
    might be fun though!
