I found the Japanese Honda website depicting the 2005 Odyssey.

Might this be the USA version due at the end of this year?

    Thanks,

Doubtful. It doesn't even have an optional V6, sliding doors and way too
small to take over our Odyssey.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the front end on US models. That would be
    good.

The USDM Odyssey is called the Lagreat in Japan:

It appears the JDM Odyssey and USDM/CDM Odyssey have nothing in common with
one another. Kind of like ths JDM Accord is vastly different than the North
American Accord. In fact, the North American Accord is the Honda Inspire in
Japan, and the Acura TSX is the JDM/Euro Accord.

  5. It definitely won't replace the US Ody but I really would love to see
it here as a new model. I wonder how big it really is.

Probably not. It's a Japanese version of Honda, but not the Odyssey.

In Japan the Ody is called La Great.

    Try this link http://www.honda.co.jp/auto-lineup/lagreat

The JDM Odyssey is the successor to the first generation Odyssey sold in
the US (also sold as the Isuzu Oasis). This is a much narrower car with
swing-open doors rather than sliding doors.

  8. No.

What they call the Odyssey in Japan is the same design as our old
Odyssey, small with the swing-out rear doors. The one above is simply
based on the new Accord; notice the interior and the dashboard.

What we call the Odyssey, they call the Lagreat. If you go to Honda's
Japan web site and check out Lagreat, you'll be seeing our Odyssey.
