    2004 Acura TSX
    2.4 i-4

Just had an oil change at dealer - regular dino oil.

New oil level is pretty much the same with warm and cold motor.

    Picture here: http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/1082/oil2ss.jpg
    Red marks the oil level.

Is this too much oil ?
Should I be worried that this is going to cause damage ?
What damage, if any, can be caused by too much oil ?

    Thanks

Hey, it's you again! I just got back from the Toyota group and you beat me
    here!

Such chaste language from a mouth so young. Wash it out with soap, son.

It matters a bunch what car it is.

I'll give you the same answer I gave in the other group:

Are you checking the oil after sitting overnight, or an hour or so after
    driving?

Oil expands with engine heat. Try checking it after an overnight sit,
*on level ground, not a driveway*. If it's 1/8" or so over the mark then
    it's OK.

Many cars take an odd amount of oil, and many dealerships and garages
(including some home mechanics like me) simply round up to the nearest
    quart.

This is why I ask what car you've got. It DOES matter.

It's a half-quart high. That's barely within acceptable limits IMO.

The poster is a half-quart low. That's barely within acceptable limits
    IMO.

The poster's oil is off the stick and is well-sludged, IMHO.

I don't have a TSX, but if it was dipstick from my 98 Civic, judging from
the posted pic, it would indicated an extra .5L (or less), which wouldn't
    concern me.
