J.D Poers and the '06 Civic

  1. I just received a survey from J.D. Powers about my new purchase. The
letter seemed to try to make me belive that I was randomly chosen to
participate in the survey, but I wos wondering if new Honda buyers have
been similar apporached. Is there anything you want to send to J.D.
Powers sine I have their ear?

JD Powers do randomly select a number of people per model. They WILL
NOT use manufacturer supplied customer lists - too easy to remove the
people that complain or have had warranty troubles.

However all they do is read the survey sheet. I think you will find
they send out thousands of these, to those that bought a new car about
30 days earlier. So probably no point adding extra.

    Hi Brandy,

As someone who uses statistics a lot at work, PLEASE base your answer on
your own experience, don't include input from others. It wouldn't be a
random sample any longer, and could greatly skew the statistics. I am not at
all associated with JD Power or Honda, but if you took input from others you
could easily make a car look considerably worse (or better) than it really
    is.

I received one of these surveys for my 2004 Accord and I gigged Honda on the
AC performance and the rattles and squeaks.

    Best Regards,

    -Pete
