Looking for new parts

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Daniel-Adrienne Fischer, Jun 26, 2004.

  1. I'm trying to "restore" my 1997 Civic LX after 5 years in the California
highdesert/kids and am looking for a website (if one exists) for ordering
    parts.

    1. Back seat needs new foam and fabric
    2. Sun shades need replacing
    3. Sun shade holding clips need replacing
    4. Both sash trim runs between front doors and rear doors need to be
    rplaced (both sides of car)
    5. Headlight lenses need replacing.

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/home.htm for at least headlight lenses.
Click on "Honda Parts Store," then put in your car's info, then select
"headlights." I used them a few weeks ago. They don't tell you shipping in
advance, but it turned out to be less than I expected based on the UPS site
estimator. I'd call their toll-free number to see if they have the other parts
you want. Their prices are way less than the dealer's from what I've seen. Maybe
not always the very best price on the net but usually very close to it.

http://www.manhonda.com/ap/ not the greatest web site (not the worst, either)
but I called them recently and the person said they were building up the site
more and more everyday. I told him what I needed, and they had everything at the
    best prices I'd seen.

Googling for, say, {Honda parts} turns up more, but it seems like those that
remain tend to originate from the same place.

Ebay also often has some hard-to-find stuff. Seems some salvage yards sell on
    Ebay.

http://www.alleurasianautoparts.com/ will probably have some of what you
    need.

    Also check www.rockauto.com
