Low gas gauge light help

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by .·°~ SleazzyWeasel ~°·., Mar 10, 2006.

  1. No light when I'm low. Is there a bulb in the panel that
    needs replacement? Thanks.

Here's a link to a TSB about the CR-V LOW FUEL LIGHT

    http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/tsb/crv/x01-052e.pdf

Maybe whatever your Honda has a similar problem. Poke around the TSB's
and it might be there. Maybe it's just a two-bit ring from a Cracker
    Back Jox.

I don't think Mac trucks have a light.

I don't know what all of that jibberish is. I thought typing bots went
    out with AOL.

Anyway, I have a 98 Accord, and yes, there is a routine partial failure
of the fuel sending unit located in the tank under the trunk floor.
Top half of gauge doesn't always read full. Bottom half is OK. And
eventually your yellow light will fail to come on at all. At least
that was the progression with mine. The fix is to replace the sending
unit. I think it is about $70.
