low mileage

    Yup, my fuel mileage goes down about 5 to 10 percent from winter driving.
    Some of the bad mileage is do to the winter tires (the winter tires are
    heavier and have more rolling resistance). Also, on the cold days, the car
    will need about 15 minutes of continues driving until it 'loosens up'
    enough to start giving the good mileage (which may not happen in extreme
    cold, when the temperature is under -30 Celsius).
