I have a 2004 Accord V6 EX. Please tell me how to get the Maintenance Light
    to go out. Thanks

    Please read your owner's manual.

  3. You read the owner's manual, and follow the instructions.

What you DON'T do is come to an anonymous forum full of yahoos,
especially when something like this is in your owner's manual and you
should go there first for such information--not come here and expect to
    be spoon-fed the information.

    Ouch!

BTW, the fellow said he has a 2004 Accord. If he doesn't have a manual for a
car that is no more than one year old, something *else* is really wrong.

Also, if he bought a car without a manual, he can get one from the dealer.

Clever. We elect you president of the assholes.

If he doesn't have a manual, he should get one. There's a lot of other
interesting stuff in it besides how to turn off the maintenance light.

  10. On his 04 Accord? Not bloody likely. Not likely at all.

What's happened is that this is the first time the light has come on,
and he's never bothered to read the manual nor does he bother to crack
    it open now.

He'd rather come here and be spoon fed for free.

    Sorry, Charlie.

So? It would have taken you half the time to inform him instead of
being rude to him in public.
Or maybe the manual is so poorly arranged he didn't find it?
Well, here it is: Push and hold odometer button. Turn ignition on.
Keep button pressed for 10 seconds.

    Wow... That was real tough.

That guy came here looking for a free quick fix to something he was too
LAZY to look up on his own.

Sharing information is one thing; spoon feeding lazy assholes who think
the world owes them anything they want is another. We don't do that
    here.

It has nothing to do with how much time it would have taken me. How
much time would it have taken for him to look in his owner's manual?
Oh, but he doesn't want to; he wants OTHERS to spend THEIR time for HIS
    benefit. UNPAID.

    Lazy SOB.

    Nope.
