I drive a Honda CRX Si and love this car.
I am just looking for a place to post comments without being jumped at
for liking imports. Do NOT got to Mopars group, all they do is diss
    Hondas and stuff...
Anyways, you all seem knowledgeable and I hope I can post here. Thx! :)
PS: I assume sigs and html are not welcomed here? (since that is partly
why I got chewed out on another group! lol) Yea, I am new to this webtv
thing, I use a laptop for everything else...

    This is cyberspace. Anarchy reigns.
Some folks on low speed dialup get owly about such things.

Also some of us are purists or use text-only newsreaders, for various
    reasons.

When you are looking for information,I never really understood why HTML
style graphic postings add to the understanding of the topic. To me they
are just a waste of bandwidth space........(mainly because when I link
on some of them, some are so BLINDING after I have been reading text
only that I find them irritating).Plus,I hate having to scroll through a
super huge picture just to read what you have written.Any more, once the
first few pixels have been loaded I immediately back out and completely
    ignore such posts.

  5. People on places like Mopars need big engines to compensate for small
    personal umm, equipment & fittings.
Apart from the binaries groups, Usenet *is* a text only world - most
newsreaders do not support HTML thankfully.

And LOL @ George's 'compensation' comment for the Mopar groups! It sure
    does seem like it.

And one more for the Webbies: LEARN HOW TO COPY AND PASTE to compensate for
    your browser's dumbness.

-Ya, webtv sux, too primitive> But porn pics look pretty good on a big
screen TV. lol. Nah, but I don't get viruses (hmmm, Sasser) in here and
I found a few ways to keep it spam free, virtually. That is why I leave
the laptop for work and everything else.
    Ok, back to Honda convos...

Excellent! Now find a way to separate the quote from your new text,
    otherwise you will confuse people.

A line of dashes like this is fine:
    -----------------------------------------
Below this would be your text. Above, the part you're quoting.

If webtv users would 'RTFM', they would understand, like I do, the
correct way to use this thing. It's really not difficult to do once you
get the rhythm of the dance.

Oh, and a great way to separate the new quote from the copied text is to
use that new fangled thing called a RETURN KEY. It's remarkable in that
it puts a space between blocks of text. ;)

    <gasp!>

You mean a Webbie CAN insert ">" characters into quotes? Up 'til now, I've
actually NEVER seen a Webbie who was able to do that.

Would you be so kind as to post the instructions so I can bludgeon the next
    non-manual-reading Webbie with it? :^)

    Ohhhhh...You have *those* too...

And here, all this time, I thought you were lookin' at me. ;) I've been
a cutter and paster since '98.
You know, at one time, I would have been happy to oblige. Now, I say,
"Find it on the home page." Long story short, type the ">" character, no
space, in front of each line so as to denote it as the clipped text
    you're responding to.
LOL. You'd be amazed at all the buttons webtv, excuse me, MSNtv,
offers.... F1,2,3, Alt, CMD, delete, CTRL. Now, if people would learn
how to use them, I wouldn't have to keep reading how stupid we all are!
    :)

Ravelation made an allusion to a key reference to wit:

I am not aware of any functionality with the MSNTV control key
    (CTRL).......I have tried many key-combo
permutations and so far nothing in the way of functionality with it.The
last dictum from MSNTV says it is for future use and not a usable under
current circumstances. If you have discovered a hidden
functionality, would you mind sharing it with this ignorant webbie?

Now that you mention it, I don't think I use it for anything. The main
one I use is the Cmd key. It makes cutting and pasting a breeze when you
    get the hang of it.
