To anyone with a 6 speed, what kind of mileage have you been getting,
and what kind of driving? I'm doing about 80% highway, and I'm
getting 28.5 or better on my last 5 fills, which I find to be amazing.

  2. LX V6 coupe (auto), and I've seen near 30 on tanks with 80% highway.

    6-speed what?
    You can get 28.5 in a Z28 Camaro 6-spd.
Or a Buick Regal V6 automatic

Well since this is the Honda newsgroups, I suppose it would be a
Honda. And the only 6 speed Honda I know of (correct me if I'm
    wrong), is the Accord.

    S2000

My point was that that kind of mileage is not that unusual these days.
In fact, it's getting to be the norm.

Ok, yes you are right, the S2000 is Honda badged with a 6 speed. As a
side note, according to the EPA figures for that, 28.5 mixed driving
might be really good. Why is the S2000 rated at only 25mpg highway
anyway, when the V6 is rated at 30? Same HP, actually the V6 is
torquier. Maybe because they had to make some compromises because of
the amount of HP they're getting of it?

Check the gear ratios, transmission and final drive, then look at the weight
and there should be some hint why the mileage is different. The biggest
mileage differentiator is the engine speed at a given car speed, which can
be deduced from the transmission and final drive gear ratios. Next after
that is the weight that is being pushed.

I would be surprised if the S2000 outweighs an accord, so my guess is that
the S2000 must be geared more aggressively.

Sure. Redline is somewhere around 8500, and it doesn't have much torque, so you
probably have to buzz the motor a bit just to get around town. Which is what
the target custoemr is going to want that car for anyway. It's also probably
geared a little deeper in the rear axle.

Honda Accord Coupe, Honda S2000, Honda Legend, Honda NSX all have had a 6

Except in North America, the Legend and NSX is an Acura.
