I'm looking for information on the airbags in a 1997 Accord.
Specifically I want to know things like speed of deployment, size, or type
of propellent used. I've searched and searched and can't find what I'm
looking for. If someone could point me in the right direction I'd sure
    appreciate it.

My father's a lawyer. He calls me up whenever he wants something one
could expect to find on the Internet. Usually I'm able to find something
after a few minutes with Google, but this one is more difficult. I really
don't know anything about why he wants to know this, I try not to pry.

not sure they publish inflation rates. it is inflated by an explosive
charge that emits sodium azide. smells like peanut butter when fired.

You're close Chip, actually Sodium Azide IS the pyrotechnic charge that ignites and creates an inert gas, nitrogen. Can't
say that I agree about the peanut butter smell either; I'll have to pay closer attention at the next deployment event...
