  1. To whoever has a 2004 Accord LX auto.

I am curios as to what problems you have had, likes about the car, dislikes,
    regrets?

My girlfriend is about to buy one

If it's of any help, mine's an '04 EX auto with cloth seats.. I never
thought I'd love a car, but I love this one. No regrets. My previous car was
a '97 Civic EX. This Accord is a quantum leap above that in terms of ride,
quietness, stereo, neat doo-dads.... Great car.

Great car except for the rattles...

....maybe it's your lucky day and get one that doesn't... maybe it isn't.

The Accord does ride firm... don't expect a buick-like ride. This is a good
thing in my opinion but to each his/her own.

Firm ride is one thing... rattles are another.

The only rattle that drove me insane was the rear roof liner. After
bitching at the dealer, they finally fixed after a year. There are a few
other rattle but nothing too severe. I just crank the tunes and it drowns
    them out.

Besides, all the new cars rattle these days. It's called cutting corners.
When I bought my Accord I was pissed at the rattles and swore my next car
would be a Camry. That was shortlived after I rented a brand new 2004 Camry
and it rattled worse than my Accord which was a year old. Figure I'll stick
with Honda and hope they just work the bugs out of an otherwise awesome car.

  7. You know I wish people were better informed on this - the real reason is
enviro-madness. The soft plastics, principally PCV, have simply been under
attack by the enviro-nuts and the quest for lightness in vehicles has
entered the lunacy stage. It's one thing to be bent over; it's quite
another to not even know it's happened nor who did it to you.;-)

  8. when I used to work at the Ford dealer and have to fix the squeaks we would
just isolate the area and remove panels and pieces while putting thing foam
tape on the back. It seemed to work great.
