I am new to Hondas and would like a little information. I just bought
a new 2004 Honda Civic VP (value package) and would like to make some
modifications. i know the motor is not the Si motor but a few bolt on
mods would be nice. I was thinking, a new air intake, new header with
high flow exhaust for starters. Does any one know what engine style is
in the Civic VP (same as LX)? I already know it's a 1.7l.

I also have questions with the body modifications. I have 14 inch
wheels and would like to go to 16 inch wheels. Will they fit and what
problems might I have (ie... speedometer inaccuracies, engine tuning
    etc...)?

I also like the front bumper and rear bumper shroud. I would like to
get side skirts but don't know if they will match up with the stock
front and rear bumpers. Can I get lips to go under the stock front
    and rear bumpers?

I hope this is an appropriate post in this group, if not, my
appologies. I am new to this area and any help would be appreciated.

    Jeff

Try to find an aftermarket Honda parts shop and take a look around.
Small accessories can personalize your vehicle.
I don't know if street legal is something you care about, but know there
are systems that are cool, but not legal. Be sure to ask if it's
    important to you.
    I sound like a shill for www.tirerack.com
but that site is so awesome for questions like this. Plug your car into
their search engine, look at the 'upsize' portion of the page where you
can pick what size wheel and tire you want to mount. Now, one thing they
don't do (that I know of) is tell you how far off your speedometer will
be because of the size change. When I had my Jeep, tire size changes
were a big thing and I remember that you had to change a tooth in the
speedo gear to get the speedo correct again. I don't know if that
applies to Hondas as well, though.
Be prepared to drive _very_carefully_. IMO, they are not worth the
'look' you get from them, because of the way they make you drive.
You're in the right place, Jeff. This is a really great auto ng. Have
fun making your vehicle your own! You should go take a look at ebay if
you want to see some aftermarket parts.....prolly hundreds of thousands
    of auctions!

Oh, and don't forget that some tint goes a long way in making the car
    look tight.
