When does Honda stop production on the current year model Civic, and
begin production on next years model? It seems like new car
introduction for the Accord is some time in September. We bought our
2003 Accord in late June, and I think it was at the tail end of 2003
production. Are the Civic dates similar?

A DEALER (you know how trustworthy they are) told me that the
manufacturing cycle goes from fiscal accounting year to fiscal
accounting year;in which case, he said that is from June of one year to
June of the next year.I have no way of verifying this, but that is what
    he said.

I thought it depended on the model. I could be wrong, but I heard the
accord has a cut off date around sept, and the civic is around
january, but this info may be dated or just wrong..

I did talk to a dealer today after I posted the question. He said
Accord orders are cut off about the end of June. That gives about 60
days for manufacturing to set up the lines for the new model in time
to start delivering in September. Sounds about right. He wasn't sure
    about the Civic.
