I will buy a honda accord 97.I just want to know is it every honda accord
97 SE has to come with VTEC or not,because my friend say if honda accord
SE does not come with VTEC,that mean the engine is already change,is it
right?

In 1997 only the EX coupe, EX sedan and EX wagon had VTEC engines in the
US market. All other models, including SE and the V6 models, had
non-VTEC engines.

Sometimes it's just the trunk lid that's been changed, so look under the
hood to confirm you're getting the 'advertized car' You have to
watch out for that one.....

An SE is only an LX with some cosmetic upgrades. Drivetrain is the same as
LX, it's not VTEC.
