I am doing the rotors and pads on my car soon and found this. Does
anyone know what kind of material Honda or other manufacturers use in
their pads? I bought standard Nissin replacement pads for my 91 Civic
and I think I might try the 40mph->0mph method that is mentioned in the
link. When I have replaced pads in the past I just tried to go easy on
    them at first.

  2. I am changing my break pads this weekend. I am going to get the best
ceramic pads I can. From what I have read, ceramic is the way to go.
It disipates heat better, wears the rotor less, has lest dust, and is quiet.
