I've tried for weeks to sell it. It needs a clutch. I've got another
car, and would like to unload it. I tried placing classified ads, but
the calls were only from non-serious people. So I call around to
junkyards, and they say they don't buy Hondas that old. What to do?
I donated an '83 Toyota a few years ago to the American Lung Assoc.,
but I'd rather get some $ for the Honda. It has an excellent body,
and it seems like that should be worth $500 at least. Am I way off
    base there?

I'm in the Bay Area of California, btw. Anybody have any ideas how to
sell it? Should I just place a continuous ad in a local paper until
    it sells?

Post an ad at a community college with a Automotive Technology
program. There are several in the Bay Area.

    DeAnza
    College of Alameda
    Contra Costa College
    + Others, I'm sure

College kids in an automotive program frequently buy "project cars"
and a clutch is an easy fix.
