Noisy CRX AC compressor - clutch?

Now that I have my CRX running, I have some other issues. First priority (it's
100+ here in TX) is the A/C.

When it first start, there was a loud squealing from the engine compartment.
Not finding anything of the porcine genus, I removed the A/C belt, which solved
the problem. Idler bearings seemed OK, but I had a new spare so I installed
it, and the belt. Still squealed. Looseneing the belt helped some. turning
on the A?C helpwhich tells me it's the clutch. It was loudest with A/C off,
but still fairly loud with A/C on. So the clutch bearing is probably the
culprit, but why would it still make noise with the clutch engaged? Does it
slip some when the car is idling?

Assuming the compressor is OK but the clutch is bad:

1 - How hard is it to replace just the clutch? I've done this on US makes
2 - Can I dismount the compressor and rotate it, hoses attached, for better
    access?
3 - What do I need to get the clutch off - puller or a bolt of a certain size?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
