Odyssey wheel radio controls problem

My 2003 odyssey is having problems with the steering wheel mounted
audio controls. There are 3 buttons, up volume, down volume and
change track. Sometimes, the up volume changes the track or channel -
as well as the change track button. Sometimes, the down volume turns
the volume up, and the up volume turns the volume up too.

It only happens on occasion, so when I took it into the dealer, they
said it was fine. I can't get it to happen all the time. It has not
happened often enough that I see any pattern to try and figure what
could be wrong. It has happened on short trips and long trips. One
thing that seems to fix it is turning the car off and then back on.

Anyone else have this symptom and can shed some light on what the
problem might be?

The steering shaft has a bad ground. There is a bulletin on this problem. The #
is 03-022 dated March 18 2003.
