    All:

In the manual, Honda wants me to change oil after 5K the first time and the
salesman also said that. Now, he said since I did not drive much even most
on highway (I have the car for 3 months and only 2300 miles), the service
department recommends I should change around 3.5K miles. I think I will do
it but what do you think?

    Thanks

    Hai

Your owner's manual should also state a time limit, i.e. 5K miles or 6
months, whichever comes first. I would adhere to that.

    Cheers,

Especially for the first oil change, I wouldn't go any sooner than the
recommended interval (5K or 6 months).

  4. Now what difference is there between the CRVs sold over there to the ones sold
here in the UK. Apparently my CRV can wait for 12months or 12000 for it's first
    oil change.

    Bill,

I think in the US, it is the same for "normal driving condition". In Canada
is 5K miles or 6 months. For me it would take about 6 months to get 5K miles
but according the salesman, service department recommends to change around
3.5K miles. I want to wait until either 5K or 6 months.
