We're about ready to sell our Honda--model left unspecified for the moment, since we don't want to violate the courtesies of this newsgroup. Is it OK to post a "for sale" sign here, or is there another newsgroup to handle sales?

    Hey, it's Christmas...

Post it here, but make sure to put the LOCATION in the subject line. If
it's actually an auction, please put eBay, or FA, or the word 'auction'
in the subject line too. :)

Wow! If everyone were so polite! It's ok to post a forsale message here,
but please, do not include any pictures. This is a text-only newsgroup,
so just put up a link to the them.

Thank you both. It'll probably be after Christmas when we're ready to put the car on the market. We'll follow your suggestions. Thanks again.

  5. Yes--it's ok. However--mention your exact area such as town or city.

I believe that you will have better success if you advertise in the local
newspaper or local car sales newsletter. Most people that subscribe to
    this news
group do not live in your town or city. This is especially true if you
live in a small town. If you have a really unique car--try putting it up
    for bid on ebay.
