    Hi guys,

Thanks for the group's input on ball joint issues. The tool store that
will be helping me with that also has something else I'll need: an
oxygen sensor socket. As best as I can guess without having a socket
that can get to it, it looks like a standard 7/8" (22mm). Does this
    sound right?

Thanks again for the help. Now that I know about the FAQ, I have many
    fewer unanswered stupid questions!

It's not just the socket size that's important with the O2
sensor wrench. It's that it has a piece of it cut out so the
sensor's wiring won't be disturbed when torquing the sensor
    into place.

Autozone loans O2 sensor wrenches out (for a deposit,
returned upon return of the tool).

It's a standard large spark plug size, except that there's no rubber
grommet inside, and it has a slot for the sensor wires.

It may even be heat-treated differently to prevent expansion when loosening
    stuck sensors.

Yeah, that''s the item - only a few bucks at the place with the ball
joint separator. Just making sure it's the right size. Since the O2
sensor is behind a heat shield, it's hard to measure and make sure.

A week ago I measured mine on the CR-v and I got 23 mm with a caliper,
on a bad angle, so 22mm must be correct.
