Opinions on Kumho 716 tires?

Time to replace the original tires on my '00 Accord SE. I've been pretty
happy with the Michelins, but it would cost more than I really want to spend
to replace them with the same thing. The Kumho 716 gets some good user
comments on the Tirerack site, and the price is attractive. Any opinions
here based on firsthand experience? My main priorities are good wet and dry
traction (a decent compromise between the two) and good handling; long tread
wear and a smooth and quiet ride would be nice, but the other stuff comes
    first.

Or recommend a good, reasonably priced alternative...

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Paul,
I can't talk about the 716s, but the Kumhos that I had on my Toyota
Corrolla, and even on my old K-car were without a doubt the best tires
I've ever had. Quiet, good handling, long wearing, and at Discount
Tire very cheap. When I needed new tires for the accord, I got
Discounts store brand because the Kumhos were back ordered. They were
both @ the same money, but what a difference. Discount's Arizonians
are not a bad tire, and they are certainly worth the money, but next
time I'll just wait for the Kumhos to get in stock. When I was poor I
used to buy used Michelins and run 'em into the ground, but that's
    another story.

I have the Kumho 716's on my 1997 Accord EX and they are without a doubt the
best tire I've had on this car. A 1995 Accord wagon that I traded in this
past summer had the 716's as well. :)

Overall, there in not, IMHO, a better tire out there for the money. I'd
even go so far as to take $ out of the equation.

Thanks. After thinking about it some more, I went with Falkens. Hope I won't
live to regret it. If so, Kumhos next time for sure.

An update for those still interested:

The Falkens (Ziex ZE-512s) didn't work out. In three tries over a week and a
half, Discount Tires could not get them balanced right. I tried to get the
Kumhos, but Discount told me they were on "national back order" and that it
could be as long as 90 days before they'd be able to get a set. That would
be way too long to live with unbalanced tires. So after debating between the
Bridgestone Potenza RE-950 and the Yokohama Avid H4S, I decided on the
Yokohamas. So far they feel much better than the Falkens and about as good
as the original Michelins, although there may be a little vibration at
higher speeds. I'll give it a little time to see if I can live with it or
need to take the car back yet again. I think Discount is a little tired of
    me...
