OXYGEN SENSOR

    WHERE IS THE OXYGEN SENSOR LOCATED IN A HONDA CIVIC 1998???
    ALSO HOW DO YOU INSTALL IT????

    For starters, see the drawing at Majestic online's site,
    http://tinyurl.com/2l8vh . This is for a 1998 Civic 4-dr. LX, auto trans. If
    this isn't exactly your Civic, click on the link that says "RETURN TO CHOOSING"
    etc., and put in the appropriate info.

    You can borrow an oxygen sensor wrench at Autozone at no charge (just a
    refundable deposit). Get some di-electric grease and anti-seize while you're
    there. Maybe a can of PB Blaster, too.

    You remove any interference, like the exhaust manifold cover, disconnect the
    sensor's electrical connector, then use the special O2 sensor wrench to remove
    the O2 sensor.

    Don't get any foreign material on the sensor's probe. The di-electric grease
    goes inside the electrical connector. The anti-seize (just a tiny bit at the
    outside end; it will coat the threads as you screw it in) goes on the sensor's
    threads.

    THERE ARE TWO!!!!

    ONE IS SCREWED INTO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD (TOP SENSOR)

    ONE IS SCREWED IN BELOW THE CATALYST (BOTTOM SENSOR)
