I have a 2004 Civic LX Silver and already have had 3 paint chips in a
month from rocks that by the sound of them would not have chipped any
previous cars I have owned. They have occurred on the two sides of the
car, one on the door and the others on the rear panel. Is there a
known weakness with the new Honda paint?

    Thanks.

Newer cars that use water based paint will chip easier. I just purchased
a 2004 Accord, and the dealer said the paint will not hold up as well as
my 1988 Accord with lead paint.
