A car salesman told me this week that a 2000 Accord CD player can play
MP3's. I burned a few CD's using Nero and none of them work. Regular audio
    CD's are fine of course.

Am I correct and the salesman is full of shit? I figure I'll have to buy one
of the newer car CD players. Thanks.

I am not aware of any 2000 models having MP3. I wouldn't say he's full of
crap but he's full of factual inaccuracies. He may have meant you can play
CD-R's as in burnt wave files on CD-Rs

to play MP3's in an accord you must purchase a new am/fm/cd/mp3 player from

Yes. It's guys like that, that give car salespeople a bad name.
Ofcourse the good ones never get any press / credit.
(disclaimer: no I'm not a car salesperson or related to one)
