    Hi,

I have a B16A engine with standard spark plugs, although they are meant to
have platinum. Can anybody tell me the how much performance is lost if I
    just stick to the standard?

    Thanks

Platinum won't cause any interference with your radio (noise) whereas the
standard might (and most likely will).

    Platinums just last longer.

Regular plugs will not cause radio noise. Where do people come up with these
    things?!

My mistake. Even though what you're saying is still wrong I was wrong as
well. All spark plugs will create radio waves which will interfere with the
radio unit (in the form of noise) if the spark plug "wires" are not well
insulated. I guess the only difference between standard (metal) and platinum
spark plugs is that they are more stable and last longer.

    Appologize for the confusion.
