    Hi all,

I own a 93 Prelude 2.0i I have recently had to fit new front brake discs and
    pads due to run out.
My Honda dealer fitted a new pair just over a month ago, but I started to
get strong vibration and shake through
my steering wheel! This was disappointing as I thought break discs were
meant to last longer than a month. Well the service
manager starts giving me a story that the front hubs maybe out of line dure
to the car being 10 years old and thats why the discs are being
damaged. I just cant see that, can anyone else give me some valid comments?

  3. First check your wheel lugnuts are evenly and properly torqued - they press
the rotor against the hub. See the URL provided by John Ings and look down
to the section on hub cleanliness and rust build up. My guess is that they
didn't clean the hub up properly before mounting the new rotors.

I've just been through this myself: the hubs have two holes in them where
water, salt etc. can cause corrosion which creeps between the rotor and hub
    - that corrosion has to be removed from the hub.
