Prelude timing belt

    Hey folks, just wonder when this should be changed? 2001 prelude with
    101,000.
    I'm being told 120K and 150K
    any advice?

  2. I was told, that unless you hear noise, feel roughness, or car is running
    heavy on gas. don't worry about it!

    GEEEZ. i think most hondas say to change your belt at 60k, if you belt
    breaks on a honda the valves can hit the pistons and ruin your engine. you
    need to change that belt in a hurry, i was just like you, i had 110k miles
    on my timing belt and it broke on the highway, luckily i have a 87 accord
    and the valves didnt hit the pistons. i ended up changing the timing belt my
    self and only spent $25. lots of people put it off because it costs a lot
    sometimes. lots of small shops will do it for $180 up where i live, near
    newark and nyc.
