When was the Honda Accord introduced? I was thinking it was either the
    '76 or '77 model years.
    Thanks in advance.

Try to buy a book entitled,
"Honda and Acura Performance Handbook" by Mike Ancas
My copy was published in 1999 so it's probably out of print. You may be
able to buy a copy on ebay. It has a history of Honda cars in one chapter
and a history of Honda engines in another chapter. The first Civic was
sold in America in 1973. The Honda 600 cars were the first Hondas
officially immported into the USA--it was powered by 598 cc two cylinder
four stroke air cooled motorcycle engine.
