I purchased a kit to convert my 91 Accord from r12 air conditioning to r
    134. How do I recover the r-12 already in the system before I fill it with
    r 134 refrigerant?

You should probably have that done by a professional. That way, you don't
have to worry about containing it and disposing of it. Since r-12 is so
strictly regulated now, both of those would be a royal pain in the ass.

  3. *YOU* don't, because a refrigerant-recovery machine costs multiple
thousands of dollars. A shop does that.

Don't forget to budget for the imminent compressor failure that your
    consumer-type "retrofit kit" will cause.

    Why are you converting, anyway?
