Does anyone know if it would be possible to install remote locking in my
2008 Honda Jazz? It's the only drawback so far. If it's possible would it be
an expensive job? Uk based btw.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Anything's possible... ;-)

Do you have power locks, or manual?

If they are power, any remote car starter will also include controls
    for the door locks.

If they're manual, you'd need to add actuators and the wiring. Not
extremely expensive parts, but the job is a bigger pain in the ass...

Thanks Joe. Um... Here's where I show what a car newbie I am! The car has
what I'd call central locking. That is to say opening one door opens them
all. Does that mean it's easier? Ideally I guess I'd be looking for an
official Honda job but if there's a solution out there that doesn't involve
major surgery I'd be very happy!

If you head to your local car audio/alarm specialist they'll fit a kit for
    you for less than Honda.

I fitted an aftermarket kit to my 97 Accord without too much hassle, but I
did need reference to all the wiring colours on the power lock control
module. Kit cost about £50, so I guess you might pay £150 including
fitting. Give Honda a ring and see what they want to charge...

Much cheaper on this side of the Pond... An aftermarket remote start
unit with power lock controls is usually around $129, installed.

This is for a 2008 Fit.

Don't know if there is a big difference between the Jazz and Fit
the installation instructions are there too.
Should be a similar option for yours
