    Hey,

This is my first post, as I just purchased a 95 Prelude S. However the
previous owner installed an aftermarket shift knob that looks a bit
tacky. He included the OEM shift knob, and I wanted to re-install it,
but I had trouble taking the aftermarket one off. I tried pulling it
and twisting it; nothing would work. Any tips?

well if it is like my aftermarket knob it is held on with 3 alen bolt
pin things, at the base of the knob there should be a ring that
unscrews to uncover them, the point of the ring is to make it look
neat. not really sure ow best to explane this but that is how most of
    them work.

usually aftermarket knobs are held on with 2 set screws.

  4. That was some crucial advice there, MISTA BONE...
If you didnt mention the possibility of there being 2 screws instead of 3, i
think this whole forum would have ceased to exist. Hats off to you dude

If you look carefully, you will see that Mista Bona replied to the
original post, not to Andrew's reply. Furthermore, Mista Bone's reply
came only 1 minute and 53 seconds after Andrew's. Quite unlikely that
Mista Bone even had a chance to read Andrew's reply before writing his
    own.

With that in mind, it seems your post is the one with the lesser worth
in this thread, competing only with mine for than honor.

  6. I followed the logical chronological sequence, and I felt like being a bit
sarcastic - I did not even consider that the joke would come under such
    close scrutiny.
If I violated the unspoken code of conduct of this group, I apologize. Feel
free to criticize the worthiness of the rest of my posts, I am mostly here
to gain knowledge and share whatever little knowledge I have about cars.

Also, I'm impressed with your attention to details. The seconds are not
stamped along with the post date, you actually had to open some properties
window to get the to-the-second time of the post. With that I believe I
regain the title of most useless post in the thread.

    Cheers
