I just replaced my clock light bulb. Took me a while to pull the clock out
as I was not sure where the clips were. turned out that there were 2 metal
ones on the bottom and 2 plastic ones on top that were part of the clock
frame body. When I pulled mine out, one of the metal clips fell off into
the opening and not recoverable (I even tried to fish it out with a magnetic
retriever). However, the clock still snapped in place in spite of losing
one clip. It should have been a 3 min job. The bulb cost me C$7 . Good
    luck.
