    Hi there,

I want to replace my shift knob with an aftermarket one (momo, pilot,
ichibahn...etc) I see the the original knob has 2 plastic clips at
the bottom of the knob so that the neck of the boot can snap into it.
So what happens when I screw on the new shift knob, how would the boot
be able to connect with the shift knob? Do I have to replace the
    shift boot also?

I appreciate very much your advice,

    Thanks
    Ken

You should screw down the knob to comedown on your boot, unfortunately, it
will not mate with any aftermarket products, you may consider an aftermarket
boot also, momo makes boots which mate with their shift knobs.
