revs go up and down when in park

    i have a 93 honda prelude auto and when it is in park the revs go up and
    down does anyone know why it would do this. it doesnt happen with
    anything else.

    could be fast idle valve, could be eacv, could be lack of coolant, and
    could be your tranny...

  3. This happened on my 02 Odyssey; the idle air control valve went bad.

    check coolant level inside radiator is full to the top and that all air
    is purged from the system.

    I had that happening to me on neutral during cold weather, I was told by a
    trustable mechanic it was not a big deal and I never did anything about it,
    still running great, although I didnT face extreme cold really lately.
