Buying an Acura RSX, and very unsure of whether or not to add a spoiler.
Parental units have advised that it looks too weird on the RSX, but i've never
had a coupe and think the spoiler maybe adds something to the profile. Any
    general thoughts are much appreciated!!

Don't add it. It doesn't provide downforce and blocks your rear view.

I'd rather save on the spoiler and use the $$$ toward a set of 17inch wheels.

IMHO Other than adding some aesthetic value to the car the spoiler does
nothing towards the handling of the car. I'd apply the 300.00 some odd
bucks towards upgrading the rims and tires. You'll get much more bang for
    your bucks.

If you can get the dealer to install it for free then it will help
the overall look of your RSX plus make it look unique among the
thousands of RSXs without spoilers. But if you can't get the dealer
to install it free of charge then I would not get it. My brother
    got his spoiler for free.

On Lexus, spoiler reduces Cd. It reduces drag.
I don't know about Acura's spoiler. I won't add one because it would reduce rear
    view.

    My spoiler adds 25hp.

My impression has always been that normal driving speeds are way too
low for a spoiler to have any effect.

I think the only effect spoilers have is to serve as a beacon to the traffic
    police.
